The Council of The Council on Chiropractic Education (CCE) currently consists of 16 individuals. Of the 16 councilors, nine (9) are Program Representatives, five (5) are Private Practitioners, and two (2) are Public Members. S. Steven Baker, D.C., Private Practitioner
Dr. Baker was elected to the Council in 2014 and currently serves as a Councilor. He has been a Private Practitioner in Tucson, Arizona since 1985 and holds a license to practice in Arizona. Dr. Baker earned his D.C. from Life University. He also completed post-graduate studies at Los Angeles College of Chiropractic, Logan College of Chiropractic and National University of Health Sciences, and holds board certification in Chiropractic Orthopedics. He is a former Member of the Arizona Board of Chiropractic Examiners.
Patrick Bodnar, D.C., Program Representative
Dr. Bodnar was elected to the Council in 2022 and currently serves as a Councilor. He holds the position of Vice Provost at Parker University in Dallas, TX since 2019. He previously held the positions Associate Provost College of Chiropractic and Director of Clinics at Parker University. Dr. Bodnar earned his Bachelors of Science degree and D.C. from Parker University.
Stephen A. Foster, D.C., Program Representative
Dr. Foster was elected to the Council in 2016 and currently serves as its Associate Chair. He holds the position of President at Texas Chiropractic College in Pasadena, TX since July 2016. He previously held the positions of Provost and Vice President of Academic Affairs at Texas Chiropractic College and also held positions of Vice President of Academics, Director of Assessment and Development, Director of Clinical Experiences, and Director of Clinics at the college. Dr. Foster completed his pre-chiropractic studies from San Jacinto College and University of Houston, and his D.C. from Texas Chiropractic College.
Heidi L. Henson, D.C., Private Practitioner
Dr. Henson was elected to the Council in 2020 and currently serves as its Councilor at Large. She has been a Private Practitioner in Oregon since 2013 and holds a license to practice in Oregon. Dr. Henson earned her B.A in Social and Cultural Analysis and her D.C. from Northwestern Health Sciences University. She was an active member of the Student American Chiropractic Association where she served as National Chair in 2012.
J. Todd Knudsen, D.C., Program Representative
Dr. Knudsen was elected to the Council in 2021 and currently serves as a Councilor. He holds the position of Vice President of Institutional Advancement and Special Projects at New York Chiropractic College in Seneca Falls, New York. He previously held the positions of President’s Chief of Staff and Vice President for Governmental Affairs, Chief Academic Officer and Vice-President for Academic Affairs, and Dean, Los Angeles College of Chiropractic at Southern California University of Health Sciences. Dr. Knudsen earned a B.S. in Human Biology and his D.C. from Los Angeles College of Chiropractic in Whittier, California and completed a residency in Diagnostic Imaging, also from Los Angeles College of Chiropractic.
Eugene Lewis, D.C., Private Practitioner
Dr. Lewis was elected to the Council in 2018 and currently serves as a Councilor. He has been a Private Practitioner in North Carolina since 1980 and holds a license to practice in North Carolina. Dr. Lewis earned his D.C. from Logan College of Chiropractic and also completed his Masters of Public Health from the University of North Carolina. He currently holds the position of assistant professor in the orthopedics and rehabilitation department at Duke University Medical Center in Durham, North Carolina.
Kristina L. Petrocco-Napuli, D.C., Program Representative
Dr. Petrocco-Napuli was elected to the Council in 2019 and currently serves as its Council Chair. She is currently the Assistant Dean for the College of Chiropractic at Logan University in Chesterfield, MO. Dr. Petrocco-Napuli has held the positions of Professor has held the positions of Professor and Adjunct Faculty: Chiropractic Clinical Sciences at Logan University; additionally, she has held positions in Chiropractic Clinical Sciences at both the Chiropractic Program at National University of Health Sciences, in St. Petersburg, FL and New York Chiropractic College, in Seneca Falls, NY. Dr. Petrocco-Napuli earned a B.S. in Health Sciences from the University of Arizona, a M.S. in Instructional Design/Development and Evaluation from Syracuse University, and her D.C. from New York Chiropractic College.
Jean-Nicolas Poirier, D.C., Ed.D., Program Representative
Dr. Poirier was elected to the Council in 2014 and currently serves as a Councilor. He currently holds the position of Assistant Dean of Academic Affairs at New York Chiropractic College in Seneca Falls, New York. Dr. Poirier earned a D.E.C. in Natural Sciences from Collège Maisonneuve, Montréal, Québec, his D.C. from the Université du Québec à Trois-Rivières, Trois-Rivières, Québec, his Ed.D. in Executive Leadership from St. John Fisher College in Rochester, NY, and completed a residency in Diagnostic Imaging from Parker University.

Dr. Messina was elected to the Council in 2021 and currently serves as a Councilor. She holds the position of Executive Vice President at the University of Western States, in Portland Oregon. She previously held the positions of Vice President for University Affairs, and Associate Vice President for Community Relations/Chief of Staff at the University of Western States. Dr. Messina earned a B.A. in Community Health Education from Portland State University, a MPA: Health Administration from Portland State University, and an Ed.D. in Interdisciplinary Leadership from Creighton University.

Ms. Ramirez was elected to the Council in 2020 and currently serves as its Treasurer. She holds the position of Assistant Director of Admissions at Midwestern University, Peoria, Arizona. Prior to Midwestern University, her previous roles include, Associate Vice President of Enrollment Management & Accreditation and Associate Vice President of Institutional Research & Accreditation in California. Ms. Ramirez earned a B.A. in International Business from Cal State University Fullerton, California and her M.A. in Organizational Leadership from Biola University, La Mirada, California.

Ms. Randazzo was elected to the Council in 2022 and currently serves as a Councilor. She holds the position of Vice Chancellor for Finance and Board Treasurer at Palmer College of Chiropractic, in Davenport, Iowa. She previously held the positions of Senior Director for Financial Affairs, Assistant Controller and Senior Director of Financial Planning at Palmer College of Chiropractic. Ms. Randazzo earned a B.A. in Accounting from St. Ambrose University in Davenport, Iowa, and her MAS in Accounting from Northern Illinois University in DeKalb, IL.

Dr. Samek was elected to the Council in 2021 and currently serves as a Councilor. She holds the position of Provost at George Fox University in Newberg, Oregon. Her previous roles include, Dean of the School of Education at George Fox University, Provost and Dean of Graduate Studies at Corban University, in Salem Oregon. Dr. Samek earned a B.S. in Science Education/Mathematics from Oregon State University, her M.S. in Math Education from Portland State University, and her Ed.D. in Educational Leadership, Curriculum and Instructions from Portland State University.

Dr. Updyke was elected to the Council in 2022 and currently serves as Councilor. He holds the position of staff chiropractor at the Veterans Administration in Santa Rosa, CA and holds a license to practice in California. Dr. Updyke completed his pre-chiropractic studies from Pierce College and San Diego State University, and his D.C. from Cleveland Chiropractic College Los Angeles.
Winmar Way, Ph.D., Program Representative
Dr. Way was elected to the Council in 2022 and currently serves as a Councilor. She holds the position of Director, Accelerated Sciences Division at Southern California University of Health Sciences in Whittier, California. She previously held the position of Head of School at Elite Open School in Rowland Heights, CA and has taught at California Southern University and at University of California, Los Angeles. Dr. Way earned a B.A. in Psychology and Language Citation in French, a M.A. in International Comparative Education, and her Ph.D. in Social Sciences and Comparative Education from University of California, Los Angeles.

Dr. Weinert was elected to the Council in 2020 and currently serves as a Councilor. He holds the position of College Provost, Palmer College of Chiropractic, Davenport, Iowa, since 2014, with previous assignments as Campus Provost, Interim VPAA and Dean of Academic Affairs. Dr. Weinert earned his B.S. in Biology from Northern Michigan University, Marquette, Michigan, a M.S. in Exercise Science at the University of Massachusetts at Amherst, Massachusetts, his D.C from Palmer College of Chiropractic, Davenport, Iowa and a Ph.D. in Higher Education, Leadership and Policy from the University of Iowa, Iowa City, Iowa.
