Commission on Accreditation (COA) Committees
There are two working committees of the commission and they solely consist of COA members and/or CCE Executive Office staff - Academy Committee and Effectiveness Committee.
Academy Committee
The Academy Committee reviews, manages and recommends actions of the body known as the Academy of Site Team Visitors (Academy). These individuals are the evaluators for all comprehensive, interim and focused site visits conducted by the COA. The committee reviews and recommends all new candidate applications for assignment to the Academy, assigns training requirements as directed by CCE Policy, annually reviews all site team chair and member evaluation forms, periodically conducts a complete evaluation of the Academy, regularly reviews and updates forms and publications for use by the evaluators and maintains a manageable number of Academy members for consistent use of CCE site visits. In all instances, the Academy Committee is the review and recommending body to the COA. The entire COA is the overall approval authority for actions of the Academy Committee. New commissioners are assigned to the committee by the COA Chairman when COA members rotate off the commission. The Director of Accreditation Services manages all administrative tasks of the committee as directed by the Chair, Academy Committee and the COA Chairman.
